Byron White Courthouse

Byron White Courthouse

Federal appellate courthouse in Denver. Turns out this used to be a Post Office. Can you imagine that? Who builds iconic columns outside a friggin post office? Smells of ancient pork to me. This building surrounds a hidden courtyard into which only grand jurors are ever permitted.

friggin is not a word, nor does it belong on anything ,grow up.....

Oh my. Actually, "friggin" is a contraction of "frigging" which is slang for fucking. If you wish to fault my grammar, you could point out that I left an apostrophe from the end of my contraction. Given the prevalance of the "f" word in modern media, (Google finds over 27 million hits for it), one would imagine it's use has been widely accepted, and therefore "belongs" just about everywhere. If anything, choosing the blander form, "frigging", might be viewed as a milquetoast sop to the gentler readers out there by those who prefer their linguistic pungencies undiluted.

As to your advice that I "grow up", well, I'm trying. Really. But I find such advice about as useful as the chess expert who observes a match in progress, strokes his chin a bit, then leans down to one of the players and advises him to "capture the king".
